This is what happens when you leave Andrea alone with the handout drawers on a quiet night – you get your handouts all rearranged. I’ve gone through the handout cabinet and pulled out all of handouts I think we still might use in a physical handout way. Those lucky few we might still use have been given nice new labels and were promoted to the top drawer. All others were mericlessly demoted to the second drawer. So if you are looking for a handout and it’s not in the top drawer, check the bottom. If it is in the top drawer but the folder is empy, I’m having copies made of the latest versions of these so let me know and I’ll get you some asap. For a complete listing of promoted handouts, see rest of post. (more…)

Handout reorganization
June 26, 2008Proxy Access, summertime especially
June 20, 2008Proxy issues? Question the person some more. Are they a new faculty member? Perhaps they aren’t yet in the system. A student–are they registered for the term? Alma said doctoral students should have access, but other graduate students need to be registered for the term. It won’t matter if they are pre-registered for the fall. Alma suggested telling the students that the off-campus access to the resources is tuition-based.
If this doesn’t answer the problem then you can refer the person to Alma or Tony and they can see about entering the person into the database.
